My son Zack was diagnosed on 3/19/2010. It seems like this is just a wait and see condition. Is that true wait to see if it gets worse or wait and see if it gets better on it's own. This sucks because all this waiting means seeing him suffer and wanting to do what he used to do but now can't because it hurts or because he's not allowed. It's hard to get a 3 & 1/2 year old to not run around and jump they don't understand how young he is do they. The doctors say it like let him be a normal kid but don't let him run or jump. But i guess that is how it's going to be we'll have to deal with it day to day.

Our case was simular, let him be normal and just wait and see. Austin did have surgery in January. It's still is no running or jumping, and now he tripped and fell and broke his femor between the plate and his knee. He is currently on bed rest again. It is tough on these kids, but not a whole lot we can do but encourage them to stay postivite, and give them other things in life to do, except running and jumping. Austin loves to fish, and his parents took this time of healing to teach him more in school related subjects. Seriously considering getting him into music and possible an instrument. Take care and hope all goes well with Zack.
